Proposal and Capture Writer
Federal proposal writing for a small SDVOSB: SBIR submissions, task order responses and teaming packages.
What you would do
- Turn a solicitation into a compliance matrix and an outline before anyone writes a sentence.
- Draft technical approach, management and past performance volumes with the principal engineer as subject matter expert.
- Run color team reviews on a schedule that fits a two-person shop.
- Track the capture side: teaming partners, set-aside strategy, questions to the contracting officer.
What we screen for
The screening exercise measures exactly these three things.
- Federal proposal experience specifically: FAR Part 15 and task order responses, SBIR/STTR, Sections L and M, compliance matrices.
- Writing that answers the evaluation criteria in the order the evaluator reads them.
- Judgment about what to bid and what to leave alone for a company this size.
Requirements
- Demonstrated federal proposal experience. Marketing and commercial copywriting backgrounds are welcome only alongside it.
- Able to provide a redacted writing sample from a federal proposal you authored or substantially wrote.
- Based in the United States.
